Thanks to the mild climate in spring and autumn Mallorca’s also in these periods very suitable for outdoor sports. Therefore Mallorca has been a top destination for professional cycling groups from all over the world. The diverse tracks and the generally good weather are two of the key factors. But it is not only the professional groups that come to the island to cycle their rounds, many amateurs and tourist have discovered the island to be a cycling paradise. Especially in the low season from October till April many cyclist travel to Mallorca. The Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and the Serra de Llevant are the most popular parts of the island when is comes to biking. In these regions you will find bike rental companies in almost every town and city, House Mallorca is happy to advice you about the possibilities.

Another major sport on the island is golf. With its 21 golf courses around the island a real golf-enthusiast should not miss out on what Mallorca has to offer in this area. The golf courses offer plenty of variety for all levels, beginners and experienced players: there is more than enough of a challenge.
One of the most beautiful golf courses is situated in the north of the island: Alcanada Club de Golf. The magnificent 18-hole golf course has stunning views over the Mediterranean. We offer two apartments just one kilometre from this golf course: Casa Punset and Casa Bahia.

Mallorca is also a haven for all kinds of water sports. Think of kite surfing, windsurfing, wake boarding, SUP, water skiing, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, boat trips and sea fishing. The pleasant climate and the excellent facilities in Mallorca are an excellent combination for these sports. On the north coast near Puerto Pollensa is a renowned sailing school named Sail & Surf. Here children and adults can take sailing classes and windsurfing courses or rent a boat.
It is also possible to discover the north coats of the island by renting our boat of seven meters for a day with or without a captain.

Besides water sports, hiking is a popular activity in Mallorca. For years the farmers have built ‘terraces’ along the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana, which results in a unique landscape. This has not gone unnoticed and in June 2011 it was therefore added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. By foot is one of the best ways to explore this beautiful landscape and the rest of Mallorca.
